In a fairy tale world, a fairy tale hero battles a fairy tale dragon to save his fairy tale love. But what happens after he defeats him? Will it all end happily ever after? What if the dragon is not the faity tale town’s real tyrant? What if there’s more a hero needs to do to truly win the love of the damsel in distress? What if happily ever after does not happen the way we’ve all always imagined?
In this fairy-tale style political satire Eugene Schwartz subverts the genre of well-known hero versus the dragon fable and explores the topic of society’s investment in their own tyranny, and the theme of love and its power in the time of a dictatorial regime.
